Turn the circuit breaker on to the water heater, unless you just like cold showers. If you don’t know how to do this, call Rich.

Be careful with the vertical blinds. You must open them vertically (with the chain) before you slide them open horizontally (with the cord). This may seem like a no-brainer, but Rich usually has to fix or replace a blind every time we go because someone forces the blinds open or closed which causes them to hang up and break. If they don’t open easily, you are doing something wrong. Please don’t force them open. If you have questions, call Rich.

During your stay at the COAST HOUSE

Do not bring fish or fishing equipment upstairs. Please leave all that stuff down stairs and clean your fish at the fish cleaning stand.

Please use coasters on the wooden furniture.

Please do not place trash bags on the carpet. They leak and stain.

If you smoke, do it outside and clean up your butts and ash trays.

When Leaving the COAST HOUSE

Please provide at least a minimum of paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues) for the next guests. Trips to the store are a necessary and fun part of our stays at the house, but upon first arriving, it is quite unpleasant to find there is no toilet paper in the bathrooms.

Please clean the bathrooms thoroughly.

Please turn everything off, especially the heaters in the bathrooms. Make sure TV’s and Cable Boxes are off.

Take out all of your trash and leave it next to the mail box outside in a tied up plastic bag.

Take any perishable food with you. Do not leave it in the refrigerator because the next person will not know how old it is, will not eat it, and someone else will have to throw it out when it turns green.

Put the A/C on 82 degrees in the summer and the Heater on 68 degrees in the winter time.

Wash, dry and put away everything you used. Sheets, towels, etc. This is not a hotel, so there is no maid service here unless you request and pay for it on your own.

Please do not leave dirty dishes, pots, pans, glasses etc. lying around or in the dishwasher. Please wash, dry and put away everything you use.

Please vacuum the carpet and leave the place clean for the next guest.

If you use the Washer and Dryer, please turn off the water to the washer, both hot and cold. This is to prevent water damage if one of the water hoses breaks while nobody is around.

Make sure all doors, windows and outside storage areas are closed and locked.

Turn the circuit breaker off to the water heater. If you don’t know how to do this, call Rich.
